In short: we collect what you type into our forms so we can verify your business, match you with an advisor, and contact you. We don't sell your information, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Who we are
Advisr is an early-stage business based in Boise, Idaho that connects business owners with experienced operators who serve as advisors. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Advisr. You can reach us at hello@joinadvisr.com.
What we collect
If you request an advisor, we collect what you enter on the form, which may include:
- Your name, title, ownership status, work email, phone number and LinkedIn profile
- Your company's legal name, state of registration, website, LinkedIn page, location, year founded, employee count, revenue range, industry and business model
- The decision you're facing, what's at stake, your timeline, what you've tried, and the kind of advisor, engagement and budget you're looking for
- Your preferred times for a consultation call and how you heard about us
If you apply as an advisor, we collect your name, contact details, LinkedIn profile, location, career history, areas of expertise, availability and how you prefer to work.
When you visit the site, our hosting provider records basic, aggregated visit statistics such as page views and general location. We don't use advertising trackers.
How we use it
- To verify that a business is real and that the applicant represents it
- To match business owners with suitable advisors
- To contact you about your request or application, including booking a consultation call
- To understand demand and improve our service
How we verify businesses
Before a consultation call, we compare what you tell us with publicly available information: state business registration records, your company website, and public LinkedIn and business profiles. We only look at public sources. If something doesn't match, we ask you about it on the call.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your information or share it for advertising. We share it only:
- With advisors you may be matched with: only what they need to understand your request, and only after they have signed a confidentiality agreement with us
- With the services that run this site: our form provider (Tally), our spreadsheet and email provider (Google) and our website host (Cloudflare), which store and process data on our behalf
- When required by law
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist information while our service is forming and for as long as we're in contact with you. If you ask us to delete it, or we decide not to proceed with your request or application, we delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing hello@joinadvisr.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
Security
We use reputable providers, limit access to the people who need it, and never ask for financial account numbers or passwords on our forms. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive documents unless we've agreed on a secure way to share them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
